The 5 most damaging events of 2021 for life and family at the United Nations
NEW YORK, December 31 (C-Fam) Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, abortion and the LGBT program have played a central role in the big reset. Here are the five most negative things that have happened in the last year in the efforts
of the sexual left to make the world a "better" place.
1. President Biden becomes the first US President to support abortion as a human right
Biden was the first US president to endorse abortion as a human right when he supported the Women's Health Protection Act in 2021. In his first 100 days as president, this self-proclaimed " deeply Catholic ”has shown how radically he is in favor of abortion. He ordered the federal government to fund pro-abortion groups overseas and promised abortion-friendly countries from the Human Rights Council that he would reject and undermine the Helms Amendment. This is new and extreme. Even Barack Obama and Bill Clinton
had rejected any obligation to allow or finance abortion.
2. UN members approve the UN agency's strategic agendas on abortion and the LGBT agenda.
The pressure from the Biden administration and the European Union was too strong to allow conservative countries to block the use of the terms “gender identity” and “sexual and reproductive health and rights”. The controversial terms were first adopted in the UN agency's strategic agendas. All the conservative countries could do was claim that there was no international consensus around these terms. The inclusion of these terms in the UN agency's program for children, women, and birth control will now provide UN agencies with the coverage needed to promote abortion and birth control. LGBT program with impunity.
3. The General Assembly unanimously adopts a resolution including for the first time “sexual orientation and gender identity”
The General Assembly has, for the first time, unanimously adopted a resolution including “sexual orientation and gender identity”. Conservative countries have blocked the use of these terms for more than two decades. Their adoption by consensus showed how support for the LGBT agenda has steadily grown internationally, with ninety countries voting to keep the terms in a biannual US election resolution. It has also shown that conservative countries no longer have the will to block these terms when other political priorities are at stake. It is a terrible precedent. We can expect more aggressive diplomacy from the Biden administration, the European Union,
4. The Mexican Supreme Court declares that the right to abortion is in accordance with the Constitution
The Mexican Supreme Court bowed under pressure from the human rights system and declared abortion a constitutional right. Not so long ago, in 2018, the Court pushed back the pressure, on the pretext that the recommendations of the UN experts were not binding. A political change in the court returned her unanimously in favor of abortion. Which is particularly painful for Catholics. The Marian apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe, much revered in Mexico and throughout America, is the patron saint of unborn children.
5. The European Union launches a general attack on Poland and Hungary because of their pro-life and pro-family policies
The European Union launches a general attack on Poland and Hungary for their refusal to adopt abortion on demand and the LGBT program. The European Commission refused to grant COVID-19 aid funds to the two Central European countries, even though they were borrowing these funds jointly with other members of the European Union. The European Commission has even launched actions with the European Court of Justice to punish Poland and Hungary. The European Parliament passed a resolution
punishing Poland for its pro-life laws a few months ago.
