Trudeau’s plan to control the Internet

In a late-night session on Tuesday, Bill C-11, the Internet Censorship Bill, was rammed through committee hearings with the Liberals, NDP, and Bloc Quebecois joining forces to quash all debate. Most of the 170 proposed amendments were hastily voted on without any discussion or public disclosure of their content. The criticism of expert witnesses was ignored.
Our concern over the potential online muzzling of pro-life, pro-family voices was dismissed.
Now C-11 will return to the House of Commons on Thursday or Friday for a final third reading and vote.
That’s why we need you to immediately send an Action Alert Email, or make an Action Alert Phone Call,
and demand that your MP vote against C-11!
In particular, we need to persuade NDP MPs to back out of their devil’s deal with the Liberals and speak up for the online freedom of speech of their own constituents. If your MP is a member of the NDP, it is urgent that you contact him or her today.
If Bill C-11 passes, the Canadian internet will fall under the bureaucratic auspices of the CRTC. This bloated crown regulator, which currently micromanages all radio and TV communications, will be charged with restricting, censoring, and rationing online content according to the government’s “progressive” pro-abortion, pro-LGBT agenda.
You know what that means. More “pride”, more sexual perversion, more gender ideology, and more pro-abort propaganda being pushed down our throats – and pushed onto our social media feeds.
The Canadian internet will cease to be a medium of free expression and open discourse. As Mr. Ian Scott, chairman of the CRTC, commented, “Freedom of speech and a range of perspectives are a necessary part of our democracy. However, it is a privilege and not a right to be broadcast in Canada.” Bill C-11 defines internet web sites and internet services as “broadcasts”, which means they will no longer be free.
A wide range of Canadians have come together to oppose this Internet Censorship bill, including a coalition of online digital content creators, who published this apt analysis:
The simple truth is that Bill C-11 will restrict and regulate ALL online content – with pro-life, pro-family content being most at-risk.
The Trudeau Liberals have already made their anti-life and anti-family agenda clear. We see it in their pledge to close Crisis Pregnancy Centres, their criminalization of biblical sexual ethics under Bill C-4, and their expansion of euthanasia under Bill C-7.
Therefore, we can be fairly sure that C-11 has been designed to take Mr. Trudeau’s agenda to the next level. I believe it will be used specifically to target pro-life, pro-family Canadians and hamstring our ability to communicate, inform, and persuade others via social media posts, online videos, and web site content.
