​The 53rd UN Human Rights Council last June sounded a serious alarm, suggesting that our Christian beliefs inherently violate so-called "LGBT rights." This position fundamentally threatens our Christian beliefs and our freedom to fully practice our faith! From the start, CitizenGO was on the front lines, campaigning and fighting against the profound dangers this advice poses to the very fabric of our Christian beliefs.

The alarming position promoted by the UN triggered our desire to act - and we were back! In a remarkable show of unity and determination, CitizenGO activists from across the world came together for a synchronized demonstration, putting pressure on governments to take a stand against the report and defend religious freedom. But it is your commitment that has been invaluable and the backbone of our actions. Today, I look forward to keeping you informed of our joint progress. Throughout our journey, the momentum you have helped build has been nothing short of phenomenal. Over a period of just three campaigns, each has garnered over 250,000 signatures – a testament to the strength and devotion of the close-knit community that we are.

At CitizenGO, we mobilized, buoyed by your valuable support, as we challenged and will continue to fight this UN report to the end. In front of parliaments and government buildings in Italy, Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Canada, among other countries, our activists have organized significant actions that have captured the attention of policy makers. A striking reminder for different governments of the global commitment behind our cause, while defending the cause of many Christians who today risk being silenced or penalized for simply expressing their faith.

 This joint action was a resounding declaration of our commitment, and of the pressure we continue to exert on governments, urging them to protect and defend our precious Christian rights. Our lobbying, advocacy, and activism efforts reached governments in more than 30 countries, and the petitions we presented were supported by hundreds of thousands of signatures from committed CitizenGO members like you.

Since the report was published at the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), our team has continued to work: Meet as many delegations as possible to enlighten them on the essential concerns of this report; Warn our representatives of possible radical consequences; And above all, encourage our governments to defend religious freedom. And more...! CitizenGO carried your voice into the rooms of the Human Rights Council in Geneva. Our team presented speeches on this issue in the face of enormous adversity in plenary rooms filled with many LGBT organizations and woke government officials. Yet, despite such convincing advocacy, many governments, including the French government, continue to show worrying reluctance. I believe much of this hesitation seems to be rooted in fear of countering powerful and influential LGBT and trans organizations.
And while governments remain hesitant, the policies and laws that stifle our voices and advance LGBT and trans agendas are on the rise. Every day I am inundated with heartbreaking stories of Christians facing rights violations and prosecutions, whether for challenging LGBT or trans ideologies in the workplace, for facing censorship on platforms digital, or for challenging the disturbing narratives presented to their children in educational institutions. A worrying trend is emerging where Christians who take a stand against the forced teaching of extreme gender ideologies are quickly labeled “intolerant” or even “extremists.” The stakes have increased considerably!
 This is why the journey ahead remains crucial.

And we are determined to carefully monitor every development related to this report, ready to act quickly and effectively. As we develop our strategy for the future, our greatest strength lies in the unity and support of our community. Rest assured that our dedication to this cause remains unwavering. As we have done so far, we remain committed to dialogue with the UN and governments around the world and we will continue to lead this fight on all fronts, ensuring that our voice, our rights and our faith are constantly defended.
